The Naimanya vineyard sits high in the tiny sub-region of Flaxman’s Valley on soils of sandy loam, gravel and quartz over clay. At 520m elevation it is one of the highest Shiraz vineyards in South Australia. Low rainfall throughout winter and the subsequent growing season led to a very small crop. Hand picked on the 31st of March, 74% destemmed, 26% whole-bunch fermented, all indigenous yeast, pressed to French oak (24% new, Bel Air), matured for 20 months in barrel. Unfined.
